AJkalai, Abraham ben Samuel

(1750-1811)

   Bulgarian codifier. He was the head of a yeshivah in Dupnitsa and later settled in Safed. His Zekhor le-Avraham contains the laws of the Shulh-an Arukh arranged alphabetically. He also wrote a collection of responsa, Hesed le-Avraham.
